- SNPW Engages Invictus Risk Solutions Services to Provide Insurance Wrap for its $50 Million Solar Manufacturing Plant Financing On October 17th SNPW announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Sun Pacific Power (“SPP”) has engaged the services of Invictus Risk Solutions to explore the opportunity to provide insurance wrap for the company’s $50 million dollar fund planned US-based solar manufacturing plant through Lloyds of London, London corporation, and other supporting insurance markets. Financing has begun at this time and the underwriting analysis of the project will determine feasibility, testing, and other market considerations.
In the follow-up news on November 15th SNPW reports that after a detailed due diligence project process, Invictus has identified and secured the unwavering support of one of the leading insurance practitioners on its preferred panel of “A” Investment Grade Credit rated underwriters.
Operating within the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, this underwriter’s contract certainty, experience, knowledge, and market reputation are impeccable. Through the coinsurance process, the lead underwriter will issue the proposed suite of insurance policies and be the single point of contact for all correspondence and documentation to manage all claims, endorsements , and change. Invictus has confirmed that the preferred funding partner(s) will be formally endorsed with the full set of policies so that in the event of a successful claim the underwriters will be legally bound to settle monies directly to that funder.
Nicholas Campanella, CEO of SNPW, said, “It is very gratifying to see Invictus’ swift action to secure the high level “A” Investment Grade underwriter support that will now help move financing for our next planned solar power project stage. We have already found a well-suited 200k sq ft property in Alabama that meets all of our facility requirements and is capable of producing over 1GW of solar panels per year for our customers. This project must be the basis of SNPW renewable energy business plan in the near future.” Mr. Campanella further added, “We are excited to work with a strong team of advisors and underwriters who will provide our insurance wrap in cooperation with State officials. The state group provides strong access to a labor force as well as classifying our proposed property as a foreign trade zone designation.” Invictus is an award-winning Client Advocate insurance, risk management, and securitization consultancy.
