    New portable system uses PV to produce drinkable water from air moisture – pv magazine International

    A bunch of researchers from Northumbria College in the UK has developed Solar2Water, a solar-powered system that extracts moisture from the air to supply ingesting water.

    Solar2Water operates solely on photo voltaic power, with two photo voltaic panels and a battery for steady operation. Its creators emphasize user-friendly design and strong building, which can be utilized in any surroundings with out particular coaching.

    Muhammad Wakil Shahzad, a professor at Northumbria College, acquired seed funding from the College to develop Solar2Water. After getting proof-of-concept funding from the Northern Accelerator, Shahzad and his group efficiently developed a pilot system that may produce 15 to twenty liters of potable water per day.

    The purpose is to develop the water manufacturing capability to 50 liters per day, aiming to supply sufficient ingesting water for the small group.
