QUINCY (WGEM) – Town of Quincy plans so as to add two new photo voltaic installations.
Metropolis officers stated this took place after seeing the optimistic results of the panels at Quincy Regional Airport. Photo voltaic plans for the Wastewater Therapy Facility and the Metropolis Water Reservoir are within the early phases of design.
Mayor Mike Troup stated they plan to put in photo voltaic panels on the wastewater remedy facility and the water reservoir. Each places are massive customers of electrical energy, so utilizing photo voltaic power can scale back operational and utility prices.
