Empresa de Desenvolvimento e Infraestruturas do Alqueva (EDIA), managed by the Ministry of Agriculture of Portugal, has launched a global tender for the development of 5 floating photovoltaic vegetation. These vegetation are positioned within the reservoirs of Ferreira do Alentejo, Almeidas, Pias, Penedrão, and Monte Novo.
The 5 tasks have a mixed capability of 4.5 MW and require a complete funding of round €4.3 million ($4.6 million).
The tender consists of the upkeep of the services for 3 years from entry into operation.
The vegetation will feed close by pumping stations, with an estimated annual manufacturing of seven GWh.
