A 77-acre solar energy farm will likely be constructed two miles east of Grand Ridge. The LaSalle County Board authorized a particular use allow this week for Ted Trager.
Seven members objected to good agricultural land not getting used for solar energy. Douglas Stockley spoke out towards taking good farmland out of manufacturing.
Member Brian Dose, within the majority, mentioned the property proprietor needs to be allowed as a result of he can not completely take the land out of manufacturing like a sand mine.
Board member Douglas Trager abstained. He mentioned he wasn’t associated to Ted Trager, however he did not need anybody to suppose there was a battle.
