    Systovi unveils ultra-lightweight solar panels – pv magazine International

    French module maker Systovi says its new photo voltaic panels weigh simply 3 kg/m2. It’s designed for flat tertiary roofs that can’t help the burden of framed photo voltaic panels. It would begin promoting new modules in 2024.

    Systovi just lately unveiled a brand new prototype of ultra-lightweight photo voltaic modules that weigh solely 3 kg/m2.

    The French PV producer says the panels can solely be deployed by authorized installers. The prototype measures 1.80 m2 and has a 330 W energy output. It has M6 cells, wrapped in fiberglass.

    Systovi says it’s going to begin promoting the brand new panels in 2024. Baptiste Duclos, advertising and marketing undertaking supervisor for the corporate, stated it’s going to swap to the M10 cell from 2025.

    Systovi opened a brand new meeting line in March close to Nantes, France. It invested €1.5 million ($1.59 million) to double manufacturing capability from 40 MW to 80 MW. The corporate says it hopes the investments will assist transition France’s PV provide chain.
