    Bangladesh to buy power from 64 MW of solar at $0.107/kWh – pv magazine International

    The Bangladesh Energy Improvement Board (BPDB) has agreed to buy electrical energy beneath a 20-year energy buy settlement (PPA) from two photo voltaic vegetation with a capability of 20 MW and 44 MW.

    Bangladesh’s Cupboard Committee of Authorities Buy (CCGP) has approved BPDB to signal an settlement to buy electrical energy from two photo voltaic vegetation in northern Bangladesh.

    Joules Energy, the nation’s first utility-scale solar energy producer, will arrange one of many two vegetation, with a capability of 20 MW in Mymensingh district. BPDB will buy the ability at $0.1069/kWh beneath a 20-year PPA. BPDB will spend $69.36 million to purchase electrical energy from the ability, mentioned Sayeed Mahbub Khan, a parliamentary official.

    The second plant is a 44 MW PV challenge developed by China-based Jiangsu Etern, Liz Vogue Business, and Fuad Spinning Mills. It would promote electrical energy to BPDB beneath a 20-year PPA at $0.107/kWh. BPDP will spend $152.64 million to buy electrical energy from the ability.

    Bangladesh at present producing 966.63 MW of electrical energy from renewables, with 732.64 MW from photo voltaic. The nation goals to generate 40% of its whole power wants from inexperienced sources.
