BOSTON—
EV Solar was featured as a launch partner to integrate SCADA data with aerial inspection analytics
For Immediate Release
Raptor Maps, the leading provider of solar lifecycle management software, has partnered with leading renewable monitoring provider GreenPowerMonitor to create a new domain of data and insights for managing solar assets. The integration of the Raptor Maps and GreenPowerMonitor software platforms will be rolled out in a portfolio managed by EV Solar, a leading full-service engineering, EPC, and O&M firm.
With this first-of-its-kind offering, Raptor Maps and GreenPowerMonitor can localize inverter, combiner, and pyranometer data to the exact geospatial position of a solar farm, making it accessible through a digital twin. Asset owners and operators have immediate reviews of how the physical condition of the modules affects power production, all ready for analysis along with maintenance and inspection data.
“We are happy to combine two critical data sources that we use to run our assets and we look forward to doing more with GreenPowerMonitor and Raptor Maps,” said Manuel Folgado, CEO of EV Solar.
The announcement comes amid a global push to scale up the solar industry, with the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act setting aside $370 billion for renewable energy in the United States and the REPowerEU sets out concrete steps for Europe’s transition away from fossil fuel sources. O&M teams are increasingly looking for tech-forward solutions for maximizing performance.
“We are proud of our customer-centric approach,” explains Juan Carlos Arévalo, CEO and cofounder of GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV company. “EV Solar is a forward-looking organization that scales quickly, and we’re partnering with Raptor Maps to make this a solution for them and the other 60GW of solar and wind customers in our portfolio.”
“Combining sensor data on the GreenPowerMonitor platform with inspection analytics on the Raptor Maps platform creates a tighter correlation between maintenance and performance,” said Raptor Maps CEO and cofounder Nikhil Vadhavkar, who added that aerial inspection data for 40 EV Solar sites is stored within the Raptor Solar platform. “By engaging and learning from this data, EV Solar is showing us what the future of solar asset management will look like.”
