    ACEN issues works packages for 400 MW solar project in Australia – pv magazine International

    Building of the 400 MW Stubbo Photo voltaic Farm in New South Wales, Australia, is scheduled to start in Could. Developer ACEN Australia has launched the tender course of for a set of labor packages associated to its AUD 800 million ($536 million) PV mission.

    The Australian unit of Philippines-based AC Vitality says work on its second large-scale photo voltaic mission in Australia is ready to start within the coming weeks. It’s calling for events to submit expressions of curiosity (EOI) for 14 new work packages at the moment open for the 400 MW Stubo Photo voltaic Farm.

    The mission will function greater than 930,000 PV panels mounted on single-axis trackers unfold over a 1,250 hectare website, about 10 kilometers north of Gulgong, New South Wales. Building is scheduled to start in Could, with work to be accomplished by Could 2025. The mission is predicted to create 400 jobs throughout development. Upon completion, the power is predicted to supply 1,000 GWh of renewable electrical energy yearly – sufficient to energy greater than 185,000 houses.

    The mission additionally has improvement approval for a 200 MWh battery vitality storage system. It will permit it to adapt to the supply of vitality at peak instances and supply essential grid stability providers.

    ACEN awarded the engineering, procurement and development (EPC) contract for the Stubo Photo voltaic Farm to the Australian unit of Canada-based PCL Building. A connection settlement was signed with infrastructure service supplier Lumea and a PV module provide contract was executed, however ACEN mentioned this week that 14 new work packages have been opened for EOI registration for the mission.

    PCL Building mentioned that the principle work packages embody civil works, floor pile and mechanical installations, electrical installations, development of operations and upkeep amenities, the availability of cables and electrical tools, and fencing set up. The tender course of for the varied scope of works will proceed until August.

    The Stubbo Photo voltaic Farm is ACEN’s second utility-scale photo voltaic mission beneath development, with the 400 MW first part of its deliberate 720 MW New England Photo voltaic Farm formally opening in March. ACEN says it has greater than 1 GW of capability beneath development, and greater than 8 GW of capability beneath improvement.
