    Oil company commissions 100 MW solar plant in Argentina – pv magazine International

    Argentine oil and fuel provider YPF Luz inaugurated a 100 MW solar energy plant close to the city of Bella Vista, within the northern Argentinean province of San Juan, northern Argentina. The Zonda PV facility is the primary part of a 300 MW photo voltaic challenge that will likely be accomplished at an undetermined later stage.

    YPF Luz invested about $90 million within the 100 MW plant. A part of this quantity – $ 63.9 million – was raised by issuing a inexperienced bond. Development started in February 2022. The Zonda plant is at 36% capability, with 170,880 bifacial panels put in on 200 hectares.

    The photo voltaic plant has already obtained approval from Cammesa, the corporate that manages the nation’s wholesale electrical energy market. It stated it may begin working the primary 30 MW and “the ultimate phases of commissioning have been accomplished so that it’s going to quickly begin working at 100%.”

    The 300 MW challenge was chosen by the nationwide authorities within the first part of the RenovAr program. It was financed with funds from the Export-Import Financial institution of China, and a $210 million bond issued by the province of Jujuy, the place it’s positioned.
