German thin-film photo voltaic module producer Avancis claims to have achieved a brand new world file effectivity for a completely encapsulated CIGS module with an built-in sequence connection measuring 30 cm × 30 cm.
203% effectivity was verified for a panel with an aperture space of 527 cm2 on the US Division of Power’s Nationwide Renewable Power Lab (NREL). The earlier file for a CIGS module of this dimension was 19.64%.
