Renewable Borosils has expanded its photo voltaic panel glass manufacturing capability in India to 1,000 tonnes per day by beginning trial manufacturing of its third photo voltaic glass furnace, with a capability of 550 tonnes per day. With 1,000 tons per day od capability, it may well present photo voltaic glass for six GW of photo voltaic module manufacturing per yr.
the firmThe opposite two furnaces in India have a manufacturing capability of 240 tonnes per day and 210 tonnes per day.
The producer now has a cumulative photo voltaic glass capability of 1,300 tons per day in India and Germany, together with 300 tons per day in Germany added via the acquisition of Europe’s largest photo voltaic glass producer, Interfloat Group.
