Annual EV gross sales in India will exceed 1.2 million in fiscal 2023, up 174% year-on-year. Electrical two-wheelers accounted for greater than 60% of the whole models offered. The share of passenger electrical three-wheelers accounts for 29%, in line with the “Annual India EV Report Card” by JMK Analysis.
Uttar Pradesh accounts for the best 15.15% share in annual gross sales, adopted by Maharashtra at 12.72% and Karnataka at 9.14%. Cumulative EV gross sales in India reached 2.3 million models by the tip of fiscal 2023.
Electrical two-wheelers lead with a 48.76% share of all gross sales, adopted by electrical three-wheeler passenger autos at 43.33%. Electrical three-wheeler cargo autos accounted for 3.65% of the whole, electrical autos accounted for 3.85%, and electrical buses accounted for 0.17%.
Uttar Pradesh is India’s main state for EV gross sales, with a 20.64% share of the cumulative models offered between fiscal 2014 and monetary 2022. It’s adopted by Maharashtra with 10.15% of the whole and Delhi at 8.85%.
Nexcharge, Okaya, and Inverted are the main gamers when it comes to cumulative nameplate battery pack capability.
