    New lithium iron phosphate battery for residential, off-grid PV – pv magazine International

    Discovery Battery’s new lithium iron phosphate battery system has a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and a capability of 100 Ah. As much as six 5.12 kWh battery modules will be stacked in a single enclosure, and as much as 4 enclosures will be linked in parallel for a complete capability of 120 MWh.

    Canadian vitality storage specialist Uncover Battery has developed a brand new lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery storage system for residential off-grid photo voltaic, dwelling backup energy, and microgrids.

    The Factor system has a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and a capability of 100 Ah. A battery module has a capability of 5.12 kWh, measures 497 mm x 439 mm x 133.5 mm, and weighs 44 kg. It has a 10-year guarantee.

    “Factor ESS battery modules are made with the best grade cobalt-free LiFePO4 cells for reliability and lengthy life,” the producer mentioned. “Uncover’s GEN-4, high-current [battery management system (BMS)] delivers optimum peak energy for demanding hundreds and lightning quick 1 C cost and discharge.

    The battery discharges at an ambient temperature between -20 C and 55 C, and prices at a temperature between 0 C and 45 C.

    “Factor ESS battery modules can be found in an non-obligatory BMS-managed warmth mat that permits operation in chilly climates,” Discovery Battery states on its web site.
