    NHDC to build 525 MW pumped storage project in India – pv magazine International

    The Narmada Hydroelectric Growth Corp. Ltd. (NHDC) will construct a pumped storage energy venture to fulfill peak-hour power demand within the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

    Indian hydropower producer NHDC plans to construct a 525 MW pumped storage venture close to a dam in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. It can construct the venture together with the present Indira Sagar and Omkareshwar reservoirs within the Indira Sagar Venture.

    The venture is anticipated to price $509.21 million and can present 1,226.93 million models of power throughout peak hours, serving to Madhya Pradesh meet its power wants throughout peak power hours. The Division of New & Renewable Vitality, Authorities of Madhya Pradesh has awarded the NHDC venture.

    The potential for 11.2 GW of pumped storage initiatives is in Madhya Pradesh. NHDC at present operates two energy stations in Khandwa district: Indira Sagar Energy Station (1 GW) and Omkareshwar Energy Station (520 MW). These energy stations provide all the facility generated in Madhya Pradesh.

    There are different ongoing building initiatives in Madhya Pradesh, together with an 8 MW photo voltaic array in Sanchi and an 88 MW floating photo voltaic set up within the Omkareshwar Reservoir.
