Spain reports soaring number of hybrid wind-solar projects now under review – pv magazine International

Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition has lately begun reviewing approvals for a number of tasks that mix PV with wind power. The builders embrace Spanish power large Iberdrola, renewables producer Acciona, challenge developer Forestalia, power firm Ignis , and Enel Inexperienced Energy, the renewable power unit of Italian utility Enel.

Iberdrola is the developer with the biggest share, divided into 11 proposals, together with some initiatives to hybridize current crops and others to create new hybrid designs. The Spanish utility needs to construct a collection of photo voltaic crops related to current wind services in Spain.

It says it plans to hybridize two wind services in Palencia with a 31 MW photo voltaic facility and a wind energy plant in Albacete with a 52 MW photo voltaic farm.

Ignis submitted a proposal to construct a 282.2 MW hybrid plant in Zaragoza, whereas Enerpal revealed a plan to construct a 30 MW photo voltaic set up close to the wind plant in Palencia.

Madrid-based Grupo Arrate says it needs to construct a 107.8 MW hybrid park in Albacete and a 171.2 MW set up in Olmedilla. Enel Inexperienced Energy, then again, mentioned it plans to put in a 259.2 MW plant in Teruel. As well as, Forestalia says it needs to mix a 42.5 MW photo voltaic plant with two current wind services in Zaragoza, with a complete capability of 126 MW.
